Yamaha has an interesting view of the future in terms of motorcycles, a little more than a year ago presented the Tricity, urban scooter on three wheels, and last year at the Tokyo Motor Show is shown MWT-9 Concept.
Unlike the Tricity, MWT-9 Concept is designed for sporty performance with a focus on cornering ability. When a closer look at this concept, we see that style has many similarities with the MT-09, which is confirmed by the use of three-cylinder engine with a mark 850.
Yamaha MWT-9 Concept powered by engine displacement of 849cc, in-line 3-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, DOHC with fuel injection.
Technology of front suspension is similar to the Tricity, but here are forks from the outside of the wheel, probably to make the entire structure been firmer. Based on this Leaning Multi-Wheel (LMW) concept has the ability to enter the curve faster and safer than two-wheelers.
Yamaha MWT-9 Concept with a unique front end also uses a new tube frame and rear subframe that rises up at a lower angle than on the FZ-09, whiles the seat also a bit lower and positioned farther back than on the FZ-09. The front cover shows an aggressive and robust looks with styling elements which are rounded with three headlights.
For now Yamaha MWT-9 is only the concept but, we will be pleasantly surprised that instead of the concept we see the first production of this type motorcycle.
