This is the second time that the Italian company presented its electric streetfighter motorcycle EVA. More precisely a year ago presented a prototype EVA. This is second product of the Italian company Energica, which during 2015 finally began sales of the EGO, the sports motorcycle driven by an electric motor.
New Energica EVA has engine type permanent magnet AC (PMAC), who is oil-cooled, with an output of 70 kW (95 hp) and torque of 170 Nm. Top speed is limited to 200 km / h when in SPORT mode and has a range of 200 km in ECO mode. It has a 4-riding mode (URBAN, ECO, RAIN, SPORT) and 4-regenerative maps (LOW, MEDIUM, HIGH and OFF). Eva have the option of switching reverse to facilitate parking and maneuvering in confined spaces.
The battery has a capacity of 11.7 kWh and the duration of 1200 cycles at 80% capacity (100% DOD). As for the recharging comes in variants of: 3.5h (0-100% SOC) mode 1, 2 or 3 charge, 30 min (0-85% SOC) and mode 4 DC fast charge.
Compared with his older brother, Energica EVA except by the absence of part of the formwork, on front has a Öhlins 43 mm, adjustable rebound and compression damping, spring preload, instead of Marzocchi forks, while the rest of the structure is practically identical and include lattice steel frame, Bitubi monoshock, Brembo brakes (front 330mm double floating discs with 4-pistons radial calipers and rear 240mm single disc with 2-piston caliper) Bosch ABS, Pirelli tires (120/70 ZR17 front and 180/55 ZR17 rear).
As for the electronics owns a Vehicle Control Unit implementing a multi-map energy and adaptive power management algorithm manages the vehicle. It constantly monitors batteries, even in key off position. The instrument panel is very clear and we say futuristic and contains all the necessary information that is stored on a 4.3" TFT color display with internal memory for data logging, integrated GPS receiver and Bluetooth communication 16.7 ml colors, 9 warning lights, 6 + 6 current consumption lights, GPS of 10Hz, dual mode Bluetooth 2.1 e 4.0, ambient light sensor and real time clock.
Although the price is not yet known, we can assume that it should be in the range of about 30,000 euros and that the sales should start this year.
