The 2017 Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled is powered by air-cooled, L-Twin, Desmodromic distribution, 2 valves per cylinder, displacement of 803cc, new throttle control and an all-new engine calibration, which develops power of 75 hp (55 kW) at 8250 rpm and a maximum torque of 68 Nm (50 lb-ft) at 7,750 rpm, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Complies with Euro 4 standards.
This is just a natural evolution of the famous Urban Enduro that gets off-road capability. The base is tubular steel trellis frame as been reinforced, equipped with two side plates that hug the engine and support the new swingarm, then usd Kayaba 46 mm front suspension fully adjustable and rear suspension Kayaba shock absorber allows for adjustment of spring pre-load and rebound dumping and is equipped with a separate gas cartridge. Seat height is 860 mm and there is a possibility of reducing the low height to 840 mm and there are also off-road style footpegs with removable rubber pads.
The spoked wheels on the front 19" and at rear 17" which are wrapped in Pirelli Scorpion™ STR Rally tires. Front brake single 330 mm disc with 4-piston Brembo M4.32B monobloc caliper with radial attachment with ABS as standard equipment and rear brake 245 mm disc with 1-piston floating caliper with ABS as standard equipment.
The Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled is available in two colors, Red Dusk and White Mirage, and price is $11,395.
