Audi already has a wide selection of cars but on the Moto Show in Geneva presented for now the strongest version called SQ7 TDI, which certainly makes history as the first production cars with electric-powered compressor.
The 2017 Audi SQ7 TDI powered by 4.0-liter V8 TDI engine that delivers even 435 hp (320 kW) and maximum torque of 900 Nm (663.8 lb-ft), in the range of 1000 to 3250 rpm and features a new common-rail system with injection pressure up to 2500 bar. In addition to the standard turbocharger now is present and electro-powered compressor (EPC) of 7 kW and 48-volt electrical system which further eliminates the gap at low revs, as well as lithium-ion battery, which is located in the trunk. Engine is mated with 8-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels.
The new Audi SQ7 TDI develops a maximum acceleration to 250 km/h which is electronically limited, while acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h achieved in 4.8 seconds. According to the technical specifications, fuel consumption is 7.4 l / 100 km, while CO2 emissions are 194 g/km.
Even if it turns out that the 2017 Audi SQ7 has consumption twice as much in real terms, this would again mean a huge savings, because the engine with 435 hp and a high torque of 900 Nm. And what will happen if such a technical solution starts to install the turbocharged petrol engines?
Besides the new engine, SQ7 is the easiest car in the class, and there can be counted still a lot of details like, the system of rotation of the all wheels, electro-mechanical device that reduces leaning in curves, sporting self-blocking differential and revised transmission.
