By Acura's new crossover arrived with the tag CDX, which should be found in the Chinese market in July this year and was presented at the Beijing Auto Show. This is a compact SUV apparently tends to compete with the Audi Q3 and Mercedes GLA.
The 2017 Acura CDX is built on the same platform as many common parts as Honda XR-V, and will be built in Guangzhou-Honda joint venture. Under the hood is located 1.5-liter turbocharged, 4-cylinder engine, which develops 182 hp and maximum torque of 240 Nm (177 lb-ft), mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The standard version comes with front wheel drive while there is a choice of AWD. Other specifications of the engine has not been disclosed.
The exterior comes with dimensions of length 4495 mm, width 1840 mm, height 1600 mm and wheelbase 2,660 mm. New Acura CDX took the five-sided grille, headlights, and angular styling all reflects the Precision concept design cues. Down below you can see three large openings, and the side openings are packed fog lights. From the back you can see large taillights that have similarities with the Toyota RAV4. Chrome trim runs along the roof rails, side window openings, rear bumper and along the rocker panels.
The interior of the new Acura CDX is spacious and can accommodate five passengers and will surely offer a variant of folding second row bench for additional cargo room. How were not available photos of the interior, we can only assume that there will be a lot of similarities with designs that appear on Precision concept.
