The Acura Design Studio in California for the New York International Auto Show introduces restyled model of elegant SUV - Acura MDX. The changes are visible both inside and out, but they also offer the latest technologies which greatly help to the driver while driving and passengers when they travel.
The 2017 Acura MDX as a novelty adds a hybrid drivetrain of the 3.0-liter V6 DOHC engine, mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with a built-in electric motor, and a pair of electric motors out back that spin the rear wheels. Based on that named as Sport Hybrid, which delivers 325 hp and this is the 35 hp more than in the regular model, where the MDX Hybrid has a combined fuel consumption of 9.1 l / 100 km.
The Acura MDX will still have outstanding 3.5-liter V6 direct-injection engine which develops 290 hp at 6200 rpm and torque of 267 lb-ft at 4700 rpm, mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission that sends power on front-wheel drive and an extra charge may be obtained and Acura Super Handling All Wheel Drive System.
The exterior of the new Acura MDX has received new grille who is integrated with a more sharply sculpted hood, new LED fogy lights, restyled Jewel Eye headlights, a revised rear bumper with chrome frame exhaust pipes, new-look tail lamps, as well as new stylish designed 20" alloy wheels.
The interior also gets quality and excellent finish which come to the fore with Olive Ash Burl or Black Limba wood interior trim, and there are technological features of which we will mention a heated steering wheel, 2.5-amp USB port for charging, electrical parking brake, Lane Departure Warning, Adaptive cruise Control, Active Sport suspension, Surround View Camera system, entertainment system for rear passengers and more all depending on the selection of accessories.
